Goodwill Chair Makeover

Step By Step

  1. We first found a textured 100% cotton bright white sweater and 2 side chairs  from a goodwill treasure hunt trip. We used one sweater for both chairs.

  2. Heat up the dye and add the sweater

  3. Cutting the sweater in half , as well as cutting the neck and sleeves off to create a pieces need for both chair seats…. I put a solid color navy cotton fabric on the seat first with the dyed sweater over top. I did not want to see the cotton batting thru the sweater.

  4. Painted the base of the chair with the same dye added to white behr paint.

  5. Distressed the edges to expose some natural wood as well as the under color… LOVE how the textured sweater added so much more then just a seat cover. It adds a casual feel as you enter my home…
